Guys? They found a freakin' ALLIGATOR in my town today. Just randomly wandering around. AN ALLIGATOR.

Okay, so my brain has given me an amazing story idea for Trek Reboot. But there's a problem. It is McCoy-centric and something I really don't think I'd be able to write to the level the bunny deserves. That said, a few of you on my flist could do AMAZING things with this story idea and I'd kill to see it come to fruition. I know most of you aren't exactly in the need for bunny adoptions, but if you think you might even remotely be interested in giving this bunny a home, let me know?

If so, then this post is for you! No, I'm not doing another tea exchange, at least not the big formal one. Not yet. Although if you'd like to see one again in the next while please let me know. I think we were all tea-ed out for a bit so the plan was maybe Juneish? Anyways, not the point of this post.

Just to let you know, if any of you are in the mood to bash JJ Abrams on this journal over him trying to protect the story line of his movie, please move along. And if you can't, please feel free to de-friend. I don't like spoilers, don't want Trek spoilers, and hate that we've already gotten them. When the entire production team including the cast want to keep things secret, shouldn't we honour that?

Thank you guys for your fast responses on my last post. Since a number of you said you'd be interested, I'm going to try 'em and see how it goes!



One of the benefits of being a librarian (especially a public librarian) is having early access to some books. Most of this access is moving to an electronic format, but hey, if I can read the book I'll take it! I always end up buying my favourites anyway. So when I was scrolling through the electronic catalogue, I stumbled across this book, and the author's name looked really familiar to me, so I amazoned her. And wow, I'd read another of hers more than 10 years ago and still remembered it, despite it being a romance (most of which are extremely non-memorable). So, I requested it and got the e-galley. This book IS a re-release of an old mass-market paperback, so you may be able to find a used copy around if you're interested and not have to wait until the release date of March 1st, 2012.
